Selmor shares heartwarming message from the late Tuku

SELMOR Mtukudzi, the musician and daughter of the late legendary Afro-jazz icon Oliver Mtukudzi, has shared one of the most heartwarming messages a dad can send to her daughter.

The screengrab is from a conversation Selmor had with her dad on 18 February 2018, just eleven months before Tuku passed on on 23 January 2019.

Despite their strained relationship in the past, Tuku was supportive of his daughter and gave her some insight into the music profession, and what it means to compete for awards.

Selmore shared the message as we head to the NAMA awardss tonight.

She said: ” I’m here to share a message with all the nominees, its a message my dad said to me last year when I didn’t bring the award home after being nominated. He had sent me a text saying congratulations on the nomination and I responded as below,” she wrote.

Mtukudzi passed away in January this year and was declared a national hero.
