WATCH: Chinamasa on when to introduce a local currency

Finance and Economic Development Minister Mthuli Ncube has announced, from the US, that Zimbabwe will have its own currency in the next 12 months.

The announcement has split public opinion. Some are of the view that a currency not backed by production will be swept away just like the currencies we had in the past.

Others feel a new currency is the way to go.
