FINANCE and Economic Development Minister Mthuli Ncube is not happy the new high bread price hikes, so much so that he had cornflakes today. Foreign Affairs Minister Sibusiso Busi Moyo had “mazondo”. Information Minister Monica Mutsvangwa had porridge.
Speaking to BustopTV from the National Sports Stadium at the Independence Day celebrations, Mthuli Ncube also revealed he had 50 sit-ups and 50 press-ups to stay fit.
“I’m very disappointed with the new prices of bread; there is no justification,” he said.
He urged Zimbabweans to stay positive and look forward to a better Zimbabwe.
Minsiter S B Moyo said when the 2019 budget statement was presented, Minister Mthuli Ncube announced there will be austerity which will be a painful.
“It’s a painful but temporary phase,” SB Moyo said.
Information Minister Monica Mutsvangwa said it was not in the interest of the government to control prices, but hoped that businesses will be considerate of their fellow Zimbabweans in their pricing.
