Condolence Message: LEAD mourns Dabengwa
By LEAD ||
The LEAD family is saddened by the passing on of an iconic and dedicated leader, Dumiso Dabengwa.
It is with great shock and sorrow that I received the news of the untimely death of Cde Dumiso Dabengwa, the Black Russian.
On behalf of the LEAD family and myself, I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to the Dabengwa family in particular and the nation in general.
The nation has been indeed robbed of an iconic liberation war hero with renowned liberation war credentials. It is sad that his untimely departure comes when the country he fearlessly fought for is going through unprecedented economic meltdown.
We will soldier on Baba Du to maintain your torch for a vision and aspiration for a better Zimbabwe brightly and purposefully burning.
Rest in eternal peace our dear brother, father, liberator, comrade and friend.
His name is synonymous with unwavering resilience in advocating for devolution of power and the development of the nation through servant leadership.
As LEAD, we are inspired by his development agenda and ideology for empowering minority groups through engagement and participation in every level of governance.
Though we mourn, we are grateful for the kind of leadership he has exposed to Zimbabweans; a leadership style which puts the needs of disempowered people first.
May the Dabengwa family be comforted in this time of mourning, knowing that Zimbabwe is with them in this trying time.
As LEAD, we aspire to be dedicated to the needs of the people as has been exemplified by our fallen hero.
May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his dedication to see a transformed Zimbabwe ignite a fire in each of us to burn bright the light that still flickers for mother Zimbabwe.
