Zimbabwe AFCON opponent Uganda draws with Turkmenistan
ZIMBABWE’S Group A opponent, Uganda, drew 1-1 with Turkmenistan in pre-Africa Cup of Nations friendly match over the weekend.
The Cranes played the game with most of their starting players, except Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper and national team Captain, Denis Onyango,
Uganda are set to face Cote D’ivoire in their upcoming and final friendly match before the start of the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, on June 21st.
The team is led by former Ismaily manager, Sebestian Desabre, who is very familiar with Egyptian football.
Uganda will start off their AFCON campaign, facing the Democratic Republic of Congo in their opening match on 22 June, before facing Zimbabwe in the second round and finally hosts, Egypt in the group stage.
