Mohamed Salah joins Egypt’s AFCON training camp
The Pharaohs have started their camp a week ago as they prepare for 2019 AFCON, hosted by Egypt, which will take place between 21st June to 19th of July.
However, Salah didn’t turn up until Wednesday as he needed a long rest after guiding Liverpool to the historic UEFA Champions League title in Madrid on the 1st of June.
According to reports, Salah could feature in today’s training session, but will not make the squad which will face Tanzania in a friendly on Thursday’s night.
However, he will be available for Egypt’s final test against Guinea on Sunday, June 16 at Borg El-Arab stadium in Alexandria.
Salah will not be the only Liverpool player to return after an absence for the Guinea game, as his club teammate Naby Keita has announced his availability for the friendly.
Egypt will kick off their AFCON campaign on the 21st of June by facing Zimbabwe in group A, before facing DR Congo and Uganda on June 26 and June 30 respectively.
