The Speaker of Parliament, Advocate Jacob Mudenda had a torrid time at the hands of mourners of Vimbai Tsvangirai-Java at the City Sports centre as they jeered at him and hurled insults.

It took the intervention of MDC leader Nelson Chamisa to pacify the crowd that was in no mood to entertain Mudenda after he mentioned Emmerson Mnangagwa as the President of Zimbabwe.

Yesterday at the Glen View memorial service, MDC youth league chairman Obey Sithole also stoked up emotions by saying his party recognizes Chamisa as the President of Zimbabwe.

Sithole said his party would soon unleash crippling protests to install Chamisa in power.

Meanwhile, the funeral of Vimbai Tsvangirai-Java, who died aged 36 from wounds sustained in a May 12 accident near Kwekwe, brought together many political foes.

Yesterday, First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa mourned the daughter of MDC founding leader Morgan Tsvangirai at their family home in Strathaven.
